every year under it's banner. No other sabha/organization in North America
can boast such a wonderful lineup!
GLAC in 2016 - giving back to our community and beyond, supporting the
cites of Detroit, Chennai & Flint!
With one foot in our 30year heritage and our right foot forward into the
future; GLAC kicked off the 2016 season with a Fundraiser for the musicians in
Chennai affected by the worst floods in the last 150 years! Throughout 2016,
GLAC will be accepting donations to be given to Chennai musicians. Donations
will be accepted online via the Donate button on the top right. All donations
to GLAC are tax deductible! Chennai is known as the Detroit of India & with
classical music, GLAC has made Detroit, the Chennai of USA. #Detroit4Chennai
GLAC volunteers took a day off and helped cleanup Flint. #Detroit4Flint
GLAC helped collecting samples for the Susan B Komen Tissue Bank in Detroit.
Recurring Festivals and themes (4 concerts, 3 festivals, 3 collaborations)
The annual Navarathri festival during the month of October at
the Bharatiya Hindu Temple in Troy, Michigan.
The 10 hour function includes the rendition of Navavarna Krithis, the
performance of our community kids, and a
main concert in the evening and also helps in raising donation to the temple’s
building expansion project.

partnership with Dearborn and the Arab American National Museum. This unique
partnership will be part of an effort to build bridges that span racial,
cultural and ethnic divisions amongst the communities. With these goals in mind,
we are planning a concert with the Museum's Public Programming to embraces all
