Indo-American Festival of Performing Arts

This year, we are kicking it up a notch with a gala festival!  On May 6th, 7th and 8th we are conducting the first ever ‘Indo-American Festival of Performing Arts (Sarovar 2011)‘ jointly with Oakland University School of World Music featuring several concerts by top notch musicians.  IFPA will also feature various other programs like harikatha, lec-dem, fusion music, dance-drama and even a light music concert during this 3-day long festival held at the Oakland University campus.

To top it all off, we are also in touch with the finest Indian establishments in the area to set up booths at Oakland University for ‘non-stop’ food and entertainment for your whole family. This entire festival will be ‘free’ for GLAC members. We are happy to inform you that we have decided to keep the subscription rate and gate ticket price at the same level as when we started 5 years ago!

The festival will be inaugurated by a grand concert by Shri Shashank and a Harikatha by Sangeetha Kalanidhi Madurai Shri. T N Seshagopalan. We are diligently working through the logistics of the remaining programs and will communicate to you shortly as they are confirmed.
